DUBAI // A Pakistani man has been jailed for three months for molesting a British tourist who had just arrived at Dubai International Airport from Glasgow.

A A, 26, told the Criminal Court she was at the transit zone at Terminal 3 at around 10.30pm on November 2 last year when she saw the defendant, S K, 24.

“I asked him where the arrivals area was and he said that I should take the lift to get there. Then when I took the lift he jumped into it with me,” said AA.

She said he asked her if she was married and when she said no he reached from behind her, tried to hug her, then touched her breast.

“I pushed him away and as the door of the lift opened I ran out and headed directly to a police office at the airport and reported him,” A A said.

S K, a worker at the airport, was charged with sexual assault and confessed to the crime at a hearing last month.

He will be deported after completing his jail term.
