DUBAI // Two drunk men stalked a woman after she left a restaurant, then touched her behind and fled, Dubai Criminal Court has heard.

Pakistani defendants GA, 36, a gardener, and ZS, 28, a labourer, both denied charges of sexual assault.

Prosecutors told the court that on August 1, fellow Pakistani SK, 27, was with her relative at a restaurant on Khalid bin Al Waleed road, in Bur Dubai, to have dinner.

“After the dinner we walked out of the restaurant and noticed two men following us,” she said.

When they continued following her, the male relative she was with turned around and yelled at them, she said.

“They denied that they were following us but, as my relative and I resumed walking away, I felt someone touching my behind. It was them and then they ran away,” said SK.

Policeman happened to be passing as the incident happened so the pair were chased and arrested.

A verdict is due on October 21.
