DUBAI// A driver molested a 9-year-old girl as she stood in line to buy tickets for the Dubai Mall Aquarium, the Dubai Criminal Court was told.
Pakistani S A, 44, denied a molestation charge when he appeared before the court on Sunday morning.
Prosecutors said that on August 7 this year, the girl, M O, whose nationality was not available in records, was waiting in line at the Aquarium at around 5pm when the incident happened.
Policeman M A, 46, testified that S A was arrested and referred to a police station. “He told me he saw the girl with an old woman near the ticket stand, then headed towards them and stood behind the girl and stuck his body to hers,” said M A.
M A informed prosecutors that S A had willingly confessed to molesting the girl.
A verdict will be issued on November 8.
