A taxi driver threatened to kill a woman and her family in a handwritten note if she did not give him money, Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The Russian investor found the note on the windshield of her car on May 8 this year.

She called police from her Al Barsha home who arrested the Indian driver after finding his fingerprints on the note.

The 27-year-old told police that he climbed up the wall into her garden then left her the hand-written note.

“I will kill you, your husband and son, and even if I went to jail, my gun will always be pointed at you,” the note read.

The 37-year-old woman told prosecutors she found the note at 7:30am which also said she would be killed if she reported the matter to police.

The defendant was not present in court to face charges of issuing death threats and trespassing.

The next hearing is set for July 23.
