ABU DHABI // A driver was killed on Sunday after his vehicle hit two camels on a road between Dubai and Al Ain.
The accident happened at 8.30pm near Al Oshoush. The Emirati driver, 52, died at the scene, Abu Dhabi Police said.

"The driver was taken by surprise when a group of camels was crossing the street," said Col Hamad Al Baloushi, the head of traffic police for the external Abu Dhabi regions. "He couldn't control his vehicle."
Further details were unavailable yesterday. Col Al Baloushi urged drivers to exercise caution and not drive at excessive speeds.
