Abu Dhabi Police have warned drivers against buying from street vendors during car parades celebrating National Day.
Brig Gen Hussein Al Harthi, head of the police traffic and patrols directorate, said the department would fine jaywalkers, including street sellers, found standing between vehicles and at traffic signals.
He urged drivers not to stop to buy items such as noisy horns and spray.
Brig Gen Al Harthi said police patrols would be deployed across the emirate to track any offences.
