ABU DHABI // The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities is donating Dh1 million to the Dubai Health Authority Mosaadah programme.
Mossadah provides free medical treatment to Emiratis and expatriates who otherwise would not be able to afford health care.
Almost 900 patients of 46 nationalities benefited last year. Ali Al Marzouqi, director of the zakat and donations office, said: “We firmly believe in the importance of such humanitarian initiatives and we are glad that the fund will be used to help needy patients who need our support and care.”
