ABU DHABI // Two men and a boy who stole 250 doves worth Dh190,000 from a villa were sentenced to a suspended three month prison term yesterday.

NS, an Omani, AA, a Palestinian and KA, an Emirati, returned 76 of the doves, as well as Dh85,000 to the owner. The doves were said to be a luxury breed often used in Pakistani celebrations.

Chief Justice Sayed Abdul Baseer, the head of the Criminal Court of First Instance, said the owner had withdrawn his complaint and that he took this into account in issuing his sentence.
