A student was sentenced to four years in prison for driving under the influence of narcotic pills.
Medical tests revealed that the 24-year-old Emirati had ingested Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) acid, an active agent in hashish and Tramadol in June 2014.
The report from the Dubai Police Forensic Laboratory stated that the components are listed in tables 5 and 8 of the Federal Anti-Narcotics Law and thus prove the man had hash and marijuana in his system.
Dubai Police arrested him upon confirming the forensic and he was referred to the criminal court and charged with illegally ingesting psychotropic substances and driving under the influence of psychotropic substances.
