Sharjah man who was selling stolen international call credits arrested

A man who stole international call time and was selling it on for as little as Dh1 per minute has been referred to the Sharjah public prosecutor.

SHARJAH // A man has been arrested by Sharjah Police for stealing international call credits and selling them for low rates from his home in the emirate.

The technical crimes section arrested Bangladeshi Mohammed F M, who lives in Sharjah Industrial Zone, after discovering that he was selling call time for as little as Dh1 per minute, without appropriate permits from the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

The arrest is in line with the technical crimes section’s efforts to limit telecom offences.

The man has been referred to public prosecutors.
