ABU DHABI // An Indian man denied entering the country under a different name after previously being deported, a court heard today.
NOF, who was deported in 2005, returned to the UAE a year later with a slightly different third name.
The defendant said he had left and entered with the same passport and the name only appeared different after a mistranslation.
His sponsor, who also appeared in court, said he was unaware that NOF had been deported or that he needed permission to re-enter the country from the Ministry of Interior.
The case was adjourned until July 18.
