ABU DHABI // A plumber grabbed a maid's bottom by mistake when he fell over while working, the Criminal Court heard today.
"Can you explain to me how you fell and your hand ended up there?" asked Chief Justice Sayed Abdul Baseer.
The man, from Egypt, replied simply that he fell and that was how it happened.
"Then why did she swear at you and hit you?" asked the judge.
"She did not," insisted the plumber, MK. "I told her: 'Sorry, sorry' and she said, 'OK, no problem'."
"Then why did she report you to police?," asked the judge.
The plumber protested that the maid had waited a week to complain.
The case was adjourned.
