DUBAI // A cook who trapped a seven-year-old girl in a toilet of the restaurant where he worked and molested her was jailed for a year.
Indian M K, 25, locked the British girl in the toilet with him on March 7, when she was having lunch with her family.
The girl said in her testimony that she was with her parents and sisters at the Internet City restaurant when she asked the defendant for napkins.
“He asked me to follow him, so I did, then he had me enter the toilet and joined me before he locked the door,” said the girl.
He was accused of being inappropriate with the girl.
Her 29-year-old mother, L O, said her daughter went to wash her hands and, when she returned, she was not acting normally.
The cook denied the charge but he was convicted at Dubai Criminal Court and will be deported after completing his jail term.
