ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Saturday extended his condolences to the families of servicemen killed during Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.
During a visit to the majlises of Khamis Rashid Abdullah Al Abdouli in Alkhalibah and Yousef Salem Ali Mohammed Al Kaabi in Madhab, Sheikh Mohammed praised the men as “noble examples of loyalty, dedication and bravery, as they were the best ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates in humanitarian spheres and the best soldiers in the honourable war”.
He said: “The martyrs will always remain a source of our pride and national symbols of glory and inspiration for generations”.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, National Security Adviser and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Ahmed Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, and Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mansour also extended condolences to the family of serviceman Abdul Salam Abdul Kareem Al Fuqaha.
On Friday, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, visited injured servicemen at Al Mafraq Hospital.
On Saturday, the General Command announced a serviceman had died when his vehicle overturned in Yemen.
