ABU DHABI // Improved reporting of human trafficking was discussed by police and government officials at a meeting of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking yesterday.

The body met to exchange ideas and experiences ahead of the creation of their national and regional report.

“The UAE has made great strides in preparing these reports during the last five years,” said Dr Saeef Al Ghafli, the rapporteur of the committee.

He added that human trafficking was a major concern for UAE leaders and efforts had been made to protect society from such crimes.
