Some photos are universal and timeless, showing a common thread from around the world. Often it's the simple but meaningful times that make these kind of images: weddings, birthdays, vacations. It's that magic that makes this image of a group of swimmers posing for a picture on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, shot by staff photographer Silvia Razgova, remind me strongly of pictures of family vacations long ago in my home of Nova Scotia, Canada.
