People often think that great photos just happen, but more often than not, the key to a photo going from good to great is combining vision with patience. While roaming around the Dubai Creek, staff photographer Delores Johnson found a space in a narrow alleyway that created the framework of a great photo. With nice light falling into the right spaces she had two thirds of the perfect combination, but Delores knew she had to wait. Staying focused and ready, she finally got exactly what was needed: one woman, bright colours, the flick of a scarf creating movement; this is the photo that so many photographers walk away from.
