Focal Point: Form over function

By eliminating all extraneous elements from the frame, the viewer’s eye is focused solely on the study of shape and form to try to find context. Staff photographer Mona Al-Marzooqi used this technique combined with crisp shadows to great effect while on assignment at a pottery factory in Fujairah.
