DUBAI // The owners of the popular nightclub Boudoir are planning to achieve new heights of exclusivity with their club in Old Town Burj Dubai. Bang "will be really high-end", said Amanda Thornton, a spokeswoman for Night Owl Facilities Management. "It will be more of a European-style club along the lines of the clubs in Saint-Tropez or Paris."

Two new restaurants also are planned. Ms Thornton said Bang would open at the end of October or early November. "It all depends on the construction," she said. Night Owl plans for an international R&B star to headline the opening, but Ms Thornton would not identify the artist because a deal has not been competed. Clubbers will order drinks from a 16-metre Swarovski crystal bar. "Bang is the ultimate in the modern luxury experience," said Ms Thornton. "We have so many unique fittings like the Swarovski bar and all the walls will be taken up entirely by an LED screen. It will be something you would more likely see in New York rather than Dubai. The LED screen will be run by a full-time technician... the LED wall will be only one of five in the world."

Ms Thornton said the new club would be more exclusive than Boudoir, which is located at the Marina. "It will have a separate entrance for VIPs," she said. "But people can enter through the main door. It will be open to walk ins, guest lists and table reservations." eharnan@thenational.ae
