DUBAI// A 20-year-old cleaner has denied attempting to stab his boss to death.
Dubai Criminal Court was told the Pakistani man attacked his Indian boss on May 30 this year.
The 33-year-old victim said the defendant was not happy with the place he was assigned to clean at Motor City.
“He asked me about his assignment, then all of a sudden he pulled a knife he was hiding in a paper and tried to stab me,” said the victim, adding that a number of other workers nearby managed to restrain the defendant but he broke loose and attacked his boss again.
“I ran towards the storage room and locked myself inside,” said the victim.
Police arrived and arrested the cleaner.
“He confessed to the charge and said he tried to kill his boss because he had been giving him a hard time at work,” said a policeman.
The next hearing will be on October 3.
