Abu Dhabi Court of Cassation has rejected a child molester’s appeal against his three-year jail sentence.
In December the man was convicted by the Criminal Court of molesting a girl and sentenced to 15 years in jail, with an additional month for breaching residency laws.
On January 26, the Appeals Court reduced his sentence to three years in prison to be followed by deportation. He then took the case to the Cassation Court to argue his innocence. But evidence from the victim’s mother and the forensic lab confirmed the man’s guilt.
