The UAE’s ambassador to Serbia has checked on the progress of construction of 17 houses in a flood-hit area of the country, state news agency Wam reported.
Juma Rashid Saif Al Dhaheri, was accompanied by the Serbian prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic, during the visit to the village of Kurban in the eastern part of the country.
The delegation inspected the ongoing construction work of the new houses which are being built through funding from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to help families who lost their homes during the flooding last May.
