ABU DHABI // Officials accused of placing CCTV cameras in a women’s customer service center will have their defence heard once more by the Misdemeanour Court.
The three officials were charged with breaching the female employees’ privacy and committing an IT crime.
Their defence argued that the center was a public place and therefore no privacy was breached.
The head of the authority said he had also consulted several legal and security officials before ordering the instalment of the cameras, after receiving reports of inappropriate behaviour by two employees at the center.
The next hearing will take place on March 10.
