Around-the-clock food inspections during Eid in Dubai

Municipality said it will be keeping on top of matters while everyone enjoys the holiday break.

Food inspectors are to work around the clock during Eid in Dubai, the municipality said.

Sultan Al Taher, head of the food inspection section at the food control department of Dubai Municipality, said the effort was in line with the “Dubai doesn’t sleep” initiative, launched to provide non-stop entertainment and business services to residents and tourists during holidays.

The food control department will send a permanent inspector to every mall, Mr Al Taher said.

He said the team in charge of food poisoning would be available to attend to public complaints.
