DUBAI // The Arab Strategy Forum will discuss the key political changes around the world and seek to anticipate the top challenges facing the global economy in the coming year.
At the event, which will take place on December 14 in Dubai, participants will also examine political conflicts and the possible solutions.
“The directive ... to meet and exchange views on major issues comes in light of the sustained challenges facing the region and the world,” said Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, the chairman of the forum’s organising committee.
“This requires constant development of the agenda of the forum to explore potential opportunities in dealing with the challenges.”
Experts will address economic trends and the possible solutions to problems.
The forum will also discuss ways to enhance economic competitiveness and diversification for sustainable development.
Previous editions of the forum attracted political and business leaders including former US president Bill Clinton, Rafik Al Hariri, Lebanon’s former prime minister, Samuel Huntington, an American professor of political science, Eric Schmidt, the chairman of Google, and Kofi Annan, the former secretary general of the United Nations.
