American teen dies in Abu Dhabi Lamborghini blaze

A 19-year-old American girl was killed after the sports car crashed on Defence Road in Abu Dhabi.

ABU DHABI // An American teenager has died after her Lamborghini crashed and caught fire on Defence Road in Abu Dhabi at 3.32pm today.
Captain Abdullah Al Tamimi, the head of customer service and public relations at Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, said the woman, 19, was travelling alone at the time of the crash.
"She must have been driving too fast," he said. "Her car hit the kerb and overturned and caught on fire."
Firemen  arrived at the scene within four minutes and extinguished the blaze but teenager could not be freed in time.
