DUBAI // While the rest of the UAE sweated it out in 40°C heat, residents of Al Ain were pleasantly surprised by an unseasonal rain shower on Thursday afternoon.
According to Sulaiman Alahamadi, who lives in the Garden City, the rain lasted for about 40 minutes. “It was a thunderstorm outside the city but a normal shower inside the city,” said the 28-year social media consultant.
He added that after the rain ended and the skies cleared, the weather was comparatively pleasant although the humidity remained very high.
According to weather.com, the temperature in Al Ain on Thursday was around 37°C with 53 per cent humidity. No more rain is expected, with fair and hazy weather predicted for the rest of the weekend.
