Ajman university has given Emirates Red Crescent a cheque for Dh100,000 in support of the President’s Compassion campaign.
Other organisations which have donated this week include the company Imdaad, which has also pledged Dh100,000 towards the initiative, which aims to help refugees and people in the Levant cope with the wintry conditions.
In addition, 244 tonnes of in-kind donations, from Human Appeal International, have been delivered to ERC warehouses for further distribution.
“This step is part of HAI’s efforts including the elaboration of a comprehensive plan to support the Tarahamu [Compassion] campaign with the participation of its different field work teams and in collaboration with the Red Crescent,” said Abdullah Al Awadi, Assistant Secretary General for Financial and Administrative Affairs at HAI.
