Orphaned children spent a fun-filled day at the Ajman University of Science and Technology as part of Arab Orphans Day on April 21.

University students hosted 30 orphans and welcomed them with flowers and gifts. They spent the day touring the campus and getting free checkups at the clinics of the College of Dentistry.

The dentists wore colourful dresses with cartoon characters to make the children feel comfortable.

Face painting and magic shows were also a part of the fun for the children, who had a wide range of activities to participate in.

The director general for the department of student affairs, Dr Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, said the university supported all humanitarian and charity associations in the country as part of the university’s initiative to encourage students to be part of the community.

The event was organised by the university in coordination with Dar Al Ber Charity Association.
