The head of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence has said that staff and stations are prepared to respond to any call over the Eid Al Fitr holidays.
Maj Gen Jassem Al Marzouqi, Civil Defence general commander-in-chief, also advised the public to follow fire-safety precautions at home, state news agency Wam reported.
Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Police traffic department warned motorists not to become “preoccupied” with responding to Eid greeting messages and phone calls while driving, urging them to stay focused on the road.
