ABU DHABI // The annual Abu Dhabi Awards, recognising those who have made a difference in the community, will be held on Tuesday evening and be broadcast live on television.
The 2013 awards ceremony, postponed from its initial date of January 30, will start at 7.30pm and be shown on Abu Dhabi Al Emarat.
Those who miss the show will be able to watch repeats. At midnight, viewers can see it on Abu Dhabi Al Oula, then half an hour later on Al Emarat.
On Wednesday the show will be repeated on Al Oula at 6pm. On Friday it will be shown on Al Emarat at 5pm and 7pm on Al Oula.
The last broadcast will be on Saturday at 8am on Al Emarat.
There are 30,000 nominees this year and winners will be chosen based on public voting and a judging panel.
The prizes recognise those who have contributed in building a greater sense of social welfare in the emirate, regardless of their age, nationality or gender.
The ceremony will be attended by top officials, nominees, previous winners and members of the public.
