A Man City prize that could come in handy

ABU DHABI // Manchester City fans will get a chance to get their hands on a pair of the team's goalkeeper's gloves at a dedicated fan zone on Sunday.

The gloves, which were worn by Joe Hart, the Manchester City and England goalkeeper, are the main prize at the Sky Blue Fan Zone at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi on Sunday evening when Manchester City play Arsenal.

The signed gloves were worn by Hart during Manchester City's first few games of the season.

"These have helped me make plenty of saves," Hart said.

The club, owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, is leading the Premier League by two points ahead of local rivals Manchester United.

"Hopefully they will find a good home in the UAE and maybe the winner can wear them for good luck when they are watching us … this season," Hart said.

Only Sky Blue members can watch the game at the fan zone at the clubhouse in Zayed Sports City. Fans can apply for membership online at www.skyblue.mcfc.com .

Already this season fans have been given the chance to win football boots signed by City midfielder David Silva and a trip to see the team play a Premier League match.
