The Dubai Schools Football Cup is the first tournament open to all schools in Dubai.
The inaugural contest featured 110 teams. There were four winning teams: boys under-12, girls under-13, boys under-15 and girls under-16.
The boys under-12 champions were Dubai National School - Al Barsha; girls under-13 winners were St Mary’s Catholic School; boys under-15 Lycee Francais International George Pompidou; and girls under-16 St Mary’s Catholic School.
The Dubai National School team was unable to travel to Manchester because of visa delays.
The contest was sponsored by Emirates NBD and Chevrolet.
Hussein Murad, the Cup’s President, said: “We are delighted the first ever Dubai Schools Football Cup was such a great success and would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support. We look forward to next year’s tournament.”
