ABU DHABI // An array of fun-filled performances, activities and attractions have been lined up to dazzle residents throughout the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Entertainment activities going on across Abu Dhabi emirate between October 3 and 10 include traditional Arabic singing and dancing performances, wild animals on display for children and a theatrical ice show, called The Wonderland Show.

“The emirate’s Eid fest programme is packed with activities throughout its malls, attractions and hotels, making Abu Dhabi a fabulous short-break getaway for visitors from other emirates and GCC countries,” said Sultan Al Dhaheri, acting executive director of tourism at the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority.

Marina Mall will play host to free-for-all The Wonderland Show, which tells the story of Alice in Wonderland and her epic journey through a fantasy world.

The show will run nightly at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm and shoppers will get to meet and greet the cast at 6pm and 8pm daily.

Transformers characters Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee will be on-hand to entertain children at Abu Dhabi Mall from October 3 to 6. Kids will be able to get up close with the movie stars and take photos.

From October 3 to 5, the Abu Dhabi Pearl Journey experience is offering a special Eid rate of Dh300 — a discount of 40 per cent.

And at Emirates Park Zoo in Abu Dhabi from October 3 to 10, there will be a range of family friendly activities.

Al Ain’s Wadi Adventure waterpark will run an adventure package from October 2 to 6 that will include rafting, airpark, the giant swing, open beach kids splash, swimming pool and park for only Dh170.

Al Ain Raceway has also discounted its karting session from October 4 to 6.
