Dean Wilkins is a sub-editor at The National. He started his career at the BBC, before moving into local news, UK press agencies and The Sun. As a news reporter, he was nominated for Young Journalist of the Year at the British Journalism Awards. After moving to Dubai in 2018, he was the editor of Time Out DXB before going freelance. He has been at The National since 2022.
