Former Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos will lead the Du Football Champions Clinic training programme in Dubai on March 17 and 18.

Created for DuFC’s nationwide finalist teams and top seeded talents, the two-day training camp is to prepare for the UAE DuFC final, taking place on March 19 at Dubai Mall’s Ice Rink.

Th DuFC Clinic will provide the UAE’s top 60 talented Under-16 footballers the chance to display their skills to an all-star team, with Carlos flying in to Dubai especially for the occasion.

Carlos, the Madrid leftback for 11 years, will be joined by fellow Madrid fullback Michel Salgado, the DuFC Championship Director and La Liga Global Ambassador.

At the completion of the event, the top 10 players will be selected for the DuFC team that will travel to Spain to take part in training and friendly matches against the Primera Liga’s best youth clubs.

“We have seen some first class youth footballers in Dubai who we can see are hungry for the opportunity to play professionally,” Salgado said. “Our final 60 from across the UAE have great potential and I look forward to working more closely with them together with Roberto next weekend before the final selection.”
