Novak Djokovic confirms return to defend Abu Dhabi tennis title

Serbian world No 1 will play in Mubadala World Tennis Championship from December 26-28.

Novak Djokovic will be back in Abu Dhabi to defend his Mubadala World Tennis Championship title.

The world No 1, who beat Nicolas Almagro in the final last year, will return to the UAE capital, a decision he has said was "easy to make".

The three-day tournament, which is not listed as an offical ATP Tour event but nonetheless attracts the world's biggest tennis players, will be held from December 26-28.

Past competitors include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray.
