Elena Dementieva reached her second successive Wimbledon semi-final with an easy victory over the Italian Francesca Schiavone on Court One. The Olympic champion and the fourth seed at SW19 won 6-2 6-2 to set-up a semi-final clash against Serena Williams or Victoria Azarenka. "I am just very happy to be in the semi-final again," said Dementieva. "It was a tough match despite the score. The weather conditions were tough today so I'm glad to go through. I was trying to play very aggressive and make it as quick as possible because it is very hot out there. "I am sure it will be a tough challenge for me against Serena, if she gets though, as she likes to play on grass. But I just want to give myself another try."
Schiavone had been bidding to become the first Italian to reach the last four of a Wimbledon tournament. But Dementieva easily won the opening game of the contest and followed that by breaking Schiavone's serve to lead 2-0. The Italian had a great chance to break straight back but squandered three opportunities and Dementieva made it 3-0 when Schiavone sent an attempted passing shot wide. The Italian's serve was not strong enough to trouble the power of Dementieva and found herself 4-0 down in just 14 minutes. Schiavone had another three break points in the next game and once again threw them away to allow Dementieva to go 5-0 ahead.
The Italian held serve for the first time in the match and followed that by breaking the Russian to reduce the arrears. But any hopes of a fightback were thwarted when Schiavone over-hit a crosscourt volley from the Russian and Dementieva went on to take the set 6-2. Schiavone made a better start to the second set ? winning her serve to make it 1-1. But Dementieva was on top form and a superb angled forehand had the Italian scampering in vain to try and reach it. An identical shot brought Dementieva another break of serve and a 4-1 lead. Schiavone still proved she had some fight left in the locker by holding serve, however Dementieva was unplayable on her own delivery and a 5-2 lead left Schiavone serving to save the match.

Commission caps
For life insurance products with a savings component, Peter Hodgins of Clyde & Co said different caps apply to the saving and protection elements:
• For the saving component, a cap of 4.5 per cent of the annualised premium per year (which may not exceed 90 per cent of the annualised premium over the policy term).
• On the protection component, there is a cap of 10 per cent of the annualised premium per year (which may not exceed 160 per cent of the annualised premium over the policy term).
• Indemnity commission, the amount of commission that can be advanced to a product salesperson, can be 50 per cent of the annualised premium for the first year or 50 per cent of the total commissions on the policy calculated.
• The remaining commission after deduction of the indemnity commission is paid equally over the premium payment term.
• For pure protection products, which only offer a life insurance component, the maximum commission will be 10 per cent of the annualised premium multiplied by the length of the policy in years.
Disclosure
Customers must now be provided with a full illustration of the product they are buying to ensure they understand the potential returns on savings products as well as the effects of any charges. There is also a “free-look” period of 30 days, where insurers must provide a full refund if the buyer wishes to cancel the policy.
“The illustration should provide for at least two scenarios to illustrate the performance of the product,” said Mr Hodgins. “All illustrations are required to be signed by the customer.”
Another illustration must outline surrender charges to ensure they understand the costs of exiting a fixed-term product early.
Illustrations must also be kept updatedand insurers must provide information on the top five investment funds available annually, including at least five years' performance data.
“This may be segregated based on the risk appetite of the customer (in which case, the top five funds for each segment must be provided),” said Mr Hodgins.
Product providers must also disclose the ratio of protection benefit to savings benefits. If a protection benefit ratio is less than 10 per cent "the product must carry a warning stating that it has limited or no protection benefit" Mr Hodgins added.

Who is Mohammed Al Halbousi?
The new speaker of Iraq’s parliament Mohammed Al Halbousi is the youngest person ever to serve in the role.
The 37-year-old was born in Al Garmah in Anbar and studied civil engineering in Baghdad before going into business. His development company Al Hadeed undertook reconstruction contracts rebuilding parts of Fallujah’s infrastructure.
He entered parliament in 2014 and served as a member of the human rights and finance committees until 2017. In August last year he was appointed governor of Anbar, a role in which he has struggled to secure funding to provide services in the war-damaged province and to secure the withdrawal of Shia militias. He relinquished the post when he was sworn in as a member of parliament on September 3.
He is a member of the Al Hal Sunni-based political party and the Sunni-led Coalition of Iraqi Forces, which is Iraq’s largest Sunni alliance with 37 seats from the May 12 election.
He maintains good relations with former Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki’s State of Law Coaliton, Hadi Al Amiri’s Badr Organisation and Iranian officials.
Chef Nobu's advice for eating sushi
“One mistake people always make is adding extra wasabi. There is no need for this, because it should already be there between the rice and the fish.
