"I'll have to be mentally prepared for Djokovic, I'm sure he wants the title as badly as me. I have never faced him on clay, so I don't know what to expect. I have seen plenty of his matches, but I'm going to try to adapt to the way he is playing on clay as fast as I can because I'm pretty sure he is not easy on clay. I’m going to have to be mentally focused and also psychologically ready for a fight. That will be very important in tomorrow's match.”
Tsitsipas' chance of winning?
The 20-year-old has a 50-50 chance of beating Djokovic, having already defeated him in their only meeting in Canada last year - although that was on a hard court. The world No 9 cannot match Djokovic in terms of experience, but he is the type of player who thrives on confidence - he famously took out four top-10 players in a single tournament, in Toronto. Clay may not be Tsitsipas' most favoured surface, although he grew up playing on that surface in his native Greece, but neither is it Djokovic's. The world No 1 is also feeling his way back to the top of his game, although beating Dominic Thiem - who is the form player on clay at the moment - will have given his morale a significant boost.
