The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) says former national team captain Mohammad Ashraful has been suspended from all forms of the game during an investigation into alleged match-fixing in this year's domestic Premier League tournament.
Nazmul Hassan Pappon, the BCB president, said on Tuesday the International Cricket Council's Anti-corruption and Security Unit is investigating suspected match and spot-fixing by Ashraful and will submit a report within a week.
The allegations relate to two matches Ashraful's team Dhaka Gladiators played and lost against Chittagong Kings and Barisal Burners in February. Ashraful captained the Dhaka Gladiators to the BPL trophy. He was captain of Bangladesh from 2007-2009.
Pappon did not provide further details about the allegations. Ashraful was not available for comment.
