The sixth edition of the Asian Shotgun Championship concluded at Al Forsan International Sports Resort on Wednesday as teams and individuals competed for top honours in Abu Dhabi.
Governed by the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) and running from November 1-9, the Asian Shotgun Championship was open to all ASC member federations.
After training for the first two days, the competition began in earnest with the trap events taking place on Thursday and Friday. The double trap events then dominated the action on Sunday before the women’s skeet competitions on Monday. The men’s skeet events completed the championship on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Among the winners was Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, who was competing in his first event since the Rio Olympics. After registering a top-score of 16, Sheikh Saeed took part in a shoot-off battle with Kuwait’s Saud Al Habib, who also scored 16.
And it was Sheikh Saeed who came out on top, missing only once for a score of 15, two ahead of Habib.

Labour dispute

Something of a fashion anomaly, normcore is essentially a celebration of the unremarkable. Tips for used car buyers
- Choose cars with GCC specifications
- Get a service history for cars less than five years old
- Don’t go cheap on the inspection
- Check for oil leaks
- Do a Google search on the standard problems for your car model
