Sadeek's Song has been given the green light to run at the Dubai Carnival after he upstaged French Derby fourth Colombian in the Sir Gordon Richards Conditions Stakes at Leicester.
Ryan Moore stood in for the injured Frankie Dettori and got a fine tune out of the Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained three-year-old.
"We always thought he was a nice horse and it took him a long time to learn as he didn't run as a two-year-old," Al Zarooni said of the winner.
Colombian loomed large over two furlongs out, but found disappointingly little when asked to go about his work by William Buick.
The favourite was surprisingly outpointed by the Godolphin colt, who appeared to show vastly improved form on his previous three efforts.
"Ryan did the right thing on him, sitting just behind the pace, and he won it nicely," Al Zarooni said.
"The plan is to take this horse to Dubai for the Carnival."
