Romeike takes equestrian prize

The German Hinrich Romeike takes the gold in the Olympics three-day equestrian individual event. American Gina Miles took the silver and Britain's Kristina Cook bronze. Ms Romeike had been first after the cross-country event yesterday and Australia's Lucinda Fredericks led after the opening dressage. At the 2004 Games, Germany's Bettina Hoy was forced to hand back her gold after she was disqualified for crossing the starting line in a warm-up lap before the show jumping. * Reuters
