Photos: The sights at Saturday's NBA Slam Dunk competition

John Wall of the Washington Wizards was the winner, but winning isn't really point of the Slam Dunk competition.

The point of the Slam Dunk competition is doing cool stuff.

In that spirit, we gathered a few of the coolest photos from Saturday night's opening act before the actual NBA All-Star game takes centre stage on Sunday night. The above feature photo depicts Sacramento's Ben McLemore dunking over Shaq sitting in a throne.

Athletically, it might not quite be Michael Jordan dunking from the free-throw line, but a Sacramento King dunking over a Sacramento Kings minority owner (who is Shaq) sitting in a throne? Points for a really well-rounded theme.

......And Damian Lillard missing.
