Roberto Mancini's men can clinch the Premier League title today with victory against QPR, something that seemed unthinkable five weeks ago as they trailed Manchester United by eight points. We look back at Manchester City's past five trophy triumphs.

Division One title (1968)

The last time rivals City and United went head to head for the league title. This one went down to the last day of the season, when the teams were level on points and City were ahead on goal difference, just like this season. United lost 2-1 at struggling Sunderland and City sealed a dramatic 4-3 victory at Newcastle to win the title.

FA Cup(1969)

Manchester City beat Leicester City 1-0 in front of 100,000 fans at Wembley Stadium with Neil Young, who passed away last year, scoring the only goal in the first half. Joe Mercer, the coach, became the first person to win the league championship and FA Cup as both a captain and a manager.

European Cup Winners' Cup (1970)

The FA Cup win qualified City for the Cup Winners' Cup and they beat Athletic Bilbao (6-3), Lierse (8-0), Academica (1-0) and Schalke (5-2) on aggregate to reach the final against Polish side Gornik Zabrze where goals from Francis Lee and Young helped them to victory in Vienna.

Second Division title (2002)

Having been relegated from the Premier League the previous season - while watching United win the title by 10 points - City surged straight back up. They took the Second Division (now The Championship) by 10 clear points, helped by 32 goals from cult hero Shaun Goater.

FA Cup (2011)

The first trophy since Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bought the club in 2008. In the semi-final Yaya Toure scored the only goal to beat Manchester United, and the Ivorian midfielder was again the hero in the final against Stoke City with the only goal in the 74 minute.
