Anyone who has not yet received their ticket by courier can pick it up from the Etihad Airways headquarters near the Yas Island exit on the mainland. If you lose your ticket before the race, you can pick up a replacement at the same office, but only if you can tell staff your seat number. If you lose your ticket on the island, staff will be on hand to issue a replacement.
A limited number of taxis will be allowed on Yas Island during the weekend, but only to transport guests staying at one of the seven hotels on the island. If hotel guests want to leave Yas for Abu Dhabi island, they must take their race passes with them, and can only take one of the taxis from Yas if they show their room key. Shuttle buses will run between the circuit and various park-and-ride locations around the city. Fans will be able to leave their cars at, or take taxis to, the signposted park-and-ride stops at Marina Mall, Zayed Sports City and Shahama. From there, buses will transport fans every few minutes to two park-and-ride terminals on Yas Island, where regular shuttle buses will run to the grandstands.
Anyone with a seat in the South or West Grandstands or the Support Pit should get off at the first bus stop on Yas Island. Anyone in the North or Main Grandstands should get off at the second stop. The buses will make return journeys throughout the day, and taxis will be on standby at all the off-island park-and-ride stops to take fans home. After the concerts at Ferrari World, buses will take fans to the on-island car parks or to the off-island park-and-ride stops.
Parking passes have been issued to those who have bought tickets, with one pass issued for every three tickets purchased. Those who bought one, two or three tickets get one pass; those who bought four, five or six tickets get two passes. You must display the ticket for the day clearly and use the designated car park. Fans are allowed to park their cars at the circuit overnight, but have to display the next day's parking pass in the window.
Visitors from Dubai are advised to use the Shahama stop. Those from Abu Dhabi should use Marina Mall and Zayed Sports City, and those from Al Ain and Al Gharbia should use Zayed Sports City. If you were hoping to watch the race from your yacht, it is too late. The marina is fully booked and there will be no access to the circuit by sea to any vessels not already booked.
Some sections of the circuit are 3km apart, which may be too much of a walk for some of those wanting to get from their seats in the South Grandstand or Support Pit to the concerts at Ferrari World. Regular circuit shuttle buses will run between all the grandstands and the concert venue. You are not guaranteed a parking spot directly next to the grandstand in which you will be seated. Shuttle buses will run between the car parks and the grandstands. A bus will also do regular trips around the perimeter of the circuit, stopping at the hotels and key locations.
Carrying food or drink into the circuit is prohibited. Food and drink will be on sale in the F1 Oasis area next to each grandstand and in the F1 Village, which also sells Formula 1 memorabilia. Alcohol will be on sale outside the grandstands and in the seven hotels. The consumption of alcohol in the grandstands is forbidden. Prepare to pay a little more than street value for food, but don't worry, each grandstand and hotel will have an ATM machine. Only UAE currency will be accepted.
Access to the Yas Hotel will be limited to those with reservations during the race weekend and will open to the public on November 3. All six of the other hotels - the Crowne Plaza, Radisson Blu, Centro, Park Inn, Staybridge Suites and Rotana - will be accessible to race-goers and are found behind the West Grandstand, although restaurant reservations may be hard to come by. All the hotels are licensed to serve alcohol.
Each of the five grandstands and most of the main buildings, including the hotels, will have male and female prayer rooms.
As well as food, there is a long list of prohibited items in the grandstands. Flags longer than 1m, pets - apart from guide dogs - bicycles, fireworks, firearms, bugles and prams are among the banned goods. A full list can be found on yasmarinacircuit.com. Smoking is banned in the grandstands and inside all buildings on Yas Island.
