Some of the UFC’s prizefighters have been arriving steadily in Abu Dhabi for this Sunday’s UFC Fight Night, which is headlined by Brian Ortega against “The Korean Zombie” Jung Chan-sung.
The penultimate event in the five-show “Return to Fight Island”, the card features the long-awaited clash between Ortega, the No 2-ranked featherweight contender, and Jung, the No 4-ranked challenger.
The pair was supposed to meet last December in Jung's native South Korea, but Ortega had to withdraw through injury.
Sunday's event at Flash Forum also boasts former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade's debut at flyweight. The Brazilian, who competed in the inaugural Fight Island in July, takes on No 1-ranked contender Katlyn Chookagian.
Those competing on Sunday were photographed arriving at the W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island hotel, where they are regularly tested for Covid-19 and undergo an initial quarantine for 48 hours.
"Return to Fight Island" concludes on October 24, with a UFC 254 headlined by Khabib Nurmagomedov's lightweight title unification bout against Justin Gaethje.
