This week has seen the domestic football seasons across Europe reach a finale.

In England, Arsenal secured a record 14th FA Cup final victory when they defeated Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring twice.

Fulham secured their Premier League place next season – and the estimated £170 million (Dh818m) riches earned by playing in the top-flight – after beating Brentford 2-1 in the Championship play-off final.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus lifted the Serie A trophy in Italy, while French side Paris Saint-Germain completed a domestic treble as they won a penalty shootout against Lyon to secure the French League Cup.

Away from football, Lewis Hamilton survived last-lap puncture to win a dramatic Formula One British Grand Prix.

The latest mixed martial event in Abu Dhabi – UAE Warriors 12 – saw UFC world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov watching cousin Usman stretch his winning streak to 10-0.
