Raikkonen's still pushing

BUDAPEST // Kimi Raikkonen insists that he has lost none of his motivation in the face of Lewis Hamilton's recent domination on the Formula One circuit. But the world champion is growing concerned at the pace of the Briton, who has won the last two races - comprehensively out-pacing Ferrari in the process. Raikkonen will start from sixth on the grid in his Ferrari for today's race in Hungary, while the championship leader Hamilton is on pole position,

"They (McLaren) have been very fast in the last races and we have not exactly been doing so well," he said. "There are many races to go and Hamilton has a little gap over us, so it's not easy to catch up. "If we don't start winning it will be pretty difficult. Hopefully we can catch up. We will just keep pushing and at some point things will start to improve." The Finnish driver is suffering a lean period having not won a race since Spain in April, and he has only been on the podium once in the last five races - scoring just16 points in the process.

But he claims he is far from demoralised by his recent streak of poor results. He said: "My motivation is the same. It has not disappeared anywhere. Of course, it's not nice when it's not going so well, but it's not the first time." * PA Sport
