Money the driving force for change

It is a yearly tradition in American college football for coaches to leave one school to sign on with a bigger and better programme. This year it has been the teams themselves that have flirted with joining and creating bigger conferences. Some background: American college football is comprised of 11 major conferences that have anywhere from eight to 12 members.
